Intratuin required initially a solution for German stores, for ordering assortment and managing internal fairs. OutSystems was selected over Mendix for its enterprise strength, enabling scalable deployment. This solution streamlined the ordering process, standardized processes, and ensured consistent operations across German stores, driving efficiency and better management of retail operations.
The Store Order Portal was introduced on both web and mobile with barcode scanning capabilities. Supporting internal fairs six times yearly across 63 stores, it processed 6,000–12,000 products with 600,000 orderlines in just three days. The solution also enabled daily ordering of both green and hardware products, supported internal fairs, provided insight in the delivery schedule and ensured strong operational efficiency across retail supply chains. The solution was then rolled out for the Dutch and Belgium stores as well, replacing the old process using huge Excel files, providing near-real-time benchmarking between stores and ability to virtually load and order full containers.
This transformation highlighted the value of low-code technology in retail operations. OutSystems ensured adaptability, efficiency, and resilience across complex workflows. The case demonstrated how OutSystems accelerates digital adoption, enabling Intratuin to deliver sustainable operations, stronger customer engagement, and long-term growth. Today, Intratuin benefits from agility, scalability, and measurable results with enterprise-grade mobile and digital solutions.
